Anticoagulation therapy

Coagulopathy has been seen in some patients; both venous and arterial thromboembolism have been reported. Patients who have underlying medical conditions and were taking antiplatelets and/or anticoagulants should continue their treatment unless significant bleeding develops or other contraindications are present. Venous thromboembolism (VTE) prophylaxis should be commenced for admitted adults according to local and international standards unless contraindicated.
