Employers need to consider how best to decrease the spread of disease and lower the impact in their workplace, which may include reducing transmission among employees, maintaining healthy business operations, and a healthy work environment. Employers/managers should support request for reassignment for vulnerable (individuals of any age with certain underlying medical conditions) employees such as to support telehealth services, transfer to units without positive cases, or assignment to non-positive patients needing care. Limit exposure of pregnant health care personnel to patients (confirmed or suspected cases) during high-risk procedures.
