Give sick household members their own room and have only one member care for them

Prevent the spread of germs when caring for someone who is sick. Have the person stay in one room, away from other people, including yourself, as much as possible and if available, have them use a separate bathroom. Avoid sharing personal household items. Have the family member wear a cloth face covering (that covers their nose and mouth) when they are around people, including you. If possible, have the sick person self-isolate in another location separate from other household members. In a time of loss, avoid touching the deceased person’s body or personal belongings or other ceremonial objects to make sure of everyone’s safety.
