Limit the transport and movement of patients outside of the room to medically essential purposes. Patients should wear a face mask or cloth face covering to contain secretions during transport. If unable to tolerate a face mask or cloth face covering or one is not available, tissues should be used to cover the mouth and nose while out of their room. Whenever possible, procedures/test should be performed in the patient’s room. Keywords: infection precautions
